MANILA, Philippines – Carlos Yulo finished third in the 53rd All-Japan Senior Masters Gymnastics Championships in Takasaki, Japan, marking his first competition since 2019. Southeast Asian Games.

A twenty-year-old Filipino carved 14,733 points, tied with Kenzo Shrai for Event 3. Wataru Kanigawa and Keisuke Asato led the event at 14,900.

Yulo, who is going to the Tokyo Olympics, failed to defend his place in the floor exercise competition and finished for the low 13,966 mark for 19th place after 2019. Decided on a category.

Yulo decided for 12th place with a total of 83,398 points from six competitions. Gold medalist Kazuma Kaya scored 86,998 points.

The last time Yulo competed was in 2019. Southeast Asian Games, where he satisfied with the silver medal for Indonesian spokesman Agus Prayok in a December race held in Manila.

Yulo’s Asahi Mutual Life team took fifth place in the team ranking.
