MANILA, Philippines – The PBA and its players from all 12 teams have found a reciprocal path ahead of the league’s plans to save for the 45th season.
On Wednesday in dialogue with players a bubble environment Similar to the NBA has been agreed as the preferred framework if the league wants to move forward.
“They all want to play in an NBA-type bubble or a semi-bubble. They do not like the closed circuit and they have asked for it to be lifted, ”said PBA Commissioner Willie Marcialis.
The NBA has been very successful in creating a bubble town in the world of Walt Disney in Orlando, Florida.
The PBA aims to follow the same plan by holding a conference that would last only two months.
The location is still not determined with Clark, Marriott Hotel, Lio El Nido Resort in Palawan and Batangas Pontefino Hotel among the available locations.
Marcial added that the topics discussed in the dialogue would be forwarded to the Board of Governors, which will have its meeting on Thursday.
Players at the main meeting included Marc Pingris of Magnolia, Alex Cabagnot of San Miguel Beer, Jayson Castro of TNT and Beau Belga of Rain or Shine.
