Harden recorded his 77th career double and added seven productive passes to the Staples Center arena in Southern California.
“We just kept calm,” he said. “After descending the section, we wanted to get a good shot every time and we won.
“We are a very confident team that continues to grow.”
Kyrie Irving scored 28 points and made eight assists, while Joe Harris, DeAndre Jordan and Bruce Brown scored 13 each in the Nets.
Brooklyn’s Kevin Durant missed his fourth game in a row with a traumatized pocket.
Just under three minutes after the clash with Clippers guard Patrick Beverley, the Nets also lost striker Jeff Green with obvious shoulder injury.
Kawhi Leonard scored 29 points and 13 rebounds, while Ivica Zubac finished in defeat with 13 points and eight balls.
Paul George scored 34 points and rebounded seven balls, but the most important moments of the game were in the stretch as Los Angeles wanted to limit the minutes of his game.
“We had to bring it back to complete the game,” Clippers coach Tyronnie Read said. “The biggest thing is being healthy.”
