FIFA 21 will be one of the best-selling games on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in 2020-21, as football fans will have the opportunity to play as their favorite players and teams.
The online game is extremely popular in the FIFA 21 game. Game modes like FIFA Ultimate Team, Online Seasons and Pro Clubs compete against people around the world.
You can play against or with friends online on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, but this is the first year in a few seasons when people will be very fragmented across different generations of the console.
- Can I play FIFA 21 PlayStation 5 against PlayStation 4 players?
- Can I play against Xbox X players on a FIFA 21 PlayStation 5?
- How can I upgrade FIFA 21 from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5?
- Will my Ultimate Team copy from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5?
- Can I still play PlayStation 5 on my PlayStation 4 with my Ultimate Team?
Playing against or even with friends using Co-Op mode is one of the most fun ways to play FIFA 21.
Pro Clubs are also very popular because you can create a team of 11 players who all play online at the same time with other clubs from around the world.
Co-Op was introduced to the FIFA 21 FIFA Ultimate team, this means the online guest can drop by and help you manage your side of the FUT.
However, if you play on different consoles, you cannot play FIFA 21 with or against friends.
You won’t be able to play consoles for generations or play crosshairs # FIFA21.
However, you will be able to transfer your FUT progress from PS4 to PS5 and Xbox 1 to Xbox X Series. https://t.co/mUqU3zcAud

This means that if you upgrade to FIFA 21 on PlayStation 5, you won’t be able to play with friends or those still playing on PlayStation 4.
EA Sports has confirmed that the cross-game will not be supported during the Q&A session on their FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account:
“You won’t be able to play console generations or play through FIFA 21. But you’ll be able to move your FUT progress from PS4 to PS5 and Xbox 1 to Xbox Series X.”
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to play FIFA 21 players on Xbox One or Xbox Series X / S, nor will you be able to play PlayStation 4 players on FIFA 21, PlayStation 5.
Cross-play is not supported in FIFA 21, but future versions of FIFA may include cross-play where multiple consoles can play together or with each other online.
Other PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X games support or will support cross-game, including Destiny 2, Chivalry 2, Fortnite, and Worms Rumble.
In December, Worms Rumble will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers for free and will allow players to try out cross-platform gaming against Xbox and even PC gamers.
Anyone who purchases FIFA 21 on PlayStation 4 can download FIFA 21 from PlayStation 5 using EA Sports’ dual rights offer.
You can upgrade at any time of the season by logging in to the PlayStation Network account where you purchased the PS4 version, or by inserting a PS4 disc into the PS5 drive.
However, anyone who has purchased a physical copy of PlayStation 4 FIFA 21 can only upgrade to PlayStation 5 with a new console disc version.
With the Dual Entitlement offer, you can upgrade your copy of FIFA 21 from PS4 to PS5 and move some of your progress to the new console.
This allows you to move your Ultimate Team progress and Volta progress to PlayStation 5.
However, the progress you have made with online seasons and career mode cannot be copied to the new console.
The progress of Pro Clubs and Co-Op Seasons is also determined on a single console and is not transferred from console to console.
Because FIFA 21 is not allowed to play through the console, many people may still want to play the PlayStation 4 version of FIFA 21 against their friends, even though they bought the PlayStation 5.
Fortunately, Ultimate Team progress can be moved back and forth across the PS4 and PS5, which means you can still play Co-Op Ultimate Team using your FUT team, even when upgrading to a new console.
“Any progress or content you make on the FIFA 21 Ultimate Team (including players, items, coins, FIFA points, match record and leaderboards) as well as all progress on Volta … will be transferred from PlayStation 4 “to PlayStation 5 and back, or Xbox One to Xbox Series X and back,” EA Sports confirmed.
